Side by side with permanent exhibitions and the Museum of Bavaria and the brand also hosts special events dedicated to a certain period or a line of vehicles. Starting from October 28, 2011 and until the end of September 2012, the BMW Museum will present a special exhibition devoted to the development of the company’s large coupe and convertible models over the years. The exhibition is entitled “Line of Beauty”, and consists of 14 shows that take visitors on a historical journey 1937-2011.

The journey begins from the car before the war BMW 327 Convertible and Sport 327/28 sports coupe and continues with the 502 coupe and convertible of the same name, along with the 503 coupe from the 1950s, Bertone CS – 3200 and CS 2000 and was designed from the 1960s. 1970s are represented by the CSI 3.0, then in 1976 by BMW Group’s first 6 series and 8 series of the 1990s before the trip ends with the last two generations of the series – 6.
